Maiolica N. is a grape variety of Italian origin, classified as a wine grape, i.e., intended for winemaking. The letter “N.” in its name denotes the black color of the fruit skin.
The variety is used in Italian winemaking, in particular, as one of the components of local blends in the Piedmont and Marche regions. Literature discusses issues of synonymy of this variety with other local grape varieties, such as Gaglioppo.
