The variety belongs to local Romanian varieties distributed primarily in the Banat region. It is genetically identified as the variety Slankamenka bela. The variety is a product of folk selection; precise data on the history of its origin are not presented in publications.

Technical characteristics include thin berry skin and the ability to accumulate from 170 to 200 g/l of sugars at full maturity. The yield of the variety varies significantly depending on growing conditions, ranging from 6–8 to 15–22 tons per hectare. It is used for the production of light wines.
