Marchione bianco is a local grape variety originating from the Itria Valley in Italy. It is officially included in the national variety register and authorized for wine production.
Genetically, the variety is related to other local varieties from the Pollino massif group, which is confirmed by the results of microsatellite analysis. The variety is used in winemaking for the production of DOP and IGP category wines in accordance with regional regulations.
