The variety is the result of crossing Vitis vinifera L. varieties "Pinot Noir" (clone Mf) and "Regent". The flower is hermaphroditic. Morphologically, it differs from "Pinot Noir" in the structure of the leaves, the depth of lateral sinuses, and the anthocyanin content in the berry pulp.

The variety possesses good resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray mold, which is due to the presence of resistance genes Ren3/9 and Rpv3.1. Wines produced from this grape are characterized by high quality and distinct organoleptic properties.
