Berligou is a descendant of the Pinot Noir variety that acquired genetic differences after centuries of cultivation in Brittany. The variety is characterized as dark, niche, with low yield and high ability to acclimatize in regions with cool climates.
Wines from this variety are distinguished by a rounded, fruity, and spicy profile. In the production of rosé wines, notes of raspberry predominate in the aromatics.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
