Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is autochthonous to the region on the border of Italy and Slovenia. According to genetic studies, it is the result of a natural crossing of the Gouais Blanc variety with an unknown variety. The leaf is medium, pentagonal, three-lobed. The bunch is medium-sized or small, conical, often winged, and very dense. The berry is medium-sized, spheroidal or slightly oval, with thin yellow-green skin that can acquire a copper hue upon ripening.

The variety belongs to the late ripening group and is distinguished by high yield. The plant is susceptible to Botrytis cinerea and other types of berry rot. Wines made from this grape possess a fresh profile with notes of white flowers, green apple, pear, citrus, and mineral undertones, characterized by good acidity and lightness.
