The Seinoir variety is the result of crossing the Seibel 5163 and Seibel 880 hybrids, combining genes from several species of the genus Vitis. The variety is characterized by moderate vigor and requires grafting.
The grapevine leaves are pentagonal or rounded in shape, and may be entire or three-lobed, with a V-shaped or closed petiolar sinus. The berries are round or broadly elliptical.
The variety shows good resistance to powdery mildew, but is prone to downy mildew and grey mold, which requires preventative treatment with fungicides.
