Young shoots of the variety have a high density of prostrate hairs at the tip, and young leaves are characterized by the presence of bronze spots. Mature leaves are dark green in color, round in shape, and have five or seven lobes. The leaf surface is blistered, and the veins have weak anthocyanin coloration.
The lateral leaf sinuses are deep, and the petiole sinus is slightly open or its lobes are slightly overlapping. The teeth are long relative to their width at the base, and the sides of the teeth are straight.
