The variety is an interspecific hybrid bred by Albert Seibel by crossing Seibel 5163 and Seibel 880. The genetic profile of the variety includes genes of Vitis aestivalis, Vitis cinerea, Vitis labrusca, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis riparia, Vitis rupestris, and Vitis vinifera.
The Seinoir N grape is intended for winemaking and is found primarily in the Loire and southwestern regions of France. The letter N in the name indicates the black color of the berries. Detailed agrotechnical characteristics of the variety are absent in the literature.
