The variety belongs to the Black Sea ecological group of cultivars. The plant's leaves are medium-to-large and five-lobed. The berries are medium or large in size and turn a copper-yellow shade upon ripening. The variety is characterized by high yield potential.

Wines made from Dimiat grapes are characterized as light and aromatic, with distinct notes of linden, acacia, and peach. The products are recommended to be consumed young, without long aging.
