It is a table variety of Italian origin, which has many other historical synonyms, such as Doraca, Imperatore, Lattuaria Bianca, Roscio, Sacra Bianca, Turca Bianca, Turchesca, Uva Di Cera, Uva Rosa and Uva Sacra.
This variety became widespread as an important table crop in the province of Bari in the first half of the 20th century. All morphological and economic characteristics of the Uva Di Raca object are identical to the traits of the Baresana variety.
