The Uva Sacra variety (synonym Uva Sogra) is of Italian origin; there are also mentions of its Slovenian roots, where it is known as Zunek. In genetic studies, it has been identified as one of the parent varieties for the Italian Susumaniello grape.
This variety is classified as a table grape, although specialized databases also note the possibility of its use in winemaking. At present, the plant belongs to the category of forgotten germplasm and is not described in detail in agronomic reference books.
