The name is officially recorded as a synonym for the Italian table variety Angelo Pirovano, obtained by crossing Chasselas Rose and Muscat Hamburg. This variety has a bisexual flower, belongs to the late maturity group, and does not possess specific disease resistance.
This name also refers to the Balkan variety Tamjika Crna (Moscato Rosa), which is a hybrid of Muscat Blanc. The variety of medium or medium-late maturity group has a functionally female flower, is prone to millerandage, possesses a muscat aroma, and is used for the production of liqueur and rosé wines. The plant is characterized by low resistance to fungal diseases and medium winter hardiness.
