To estimate the potential productivity of a lemon tree, the frame method is used, which involves counting fruits within a canopy sector from different cardinal directions, while also accounting for biological characteristics: approximately 30 developed leaves are required for the proper nourishment of a single fruit. Yield is closely linked to the age of the tree, which enters the fruiting phase at 3–5 years, and proper formative pruning.

At maturity (8–15 years), the productivity of a single lemon tree ranges from 85 to 150 kg of fruit, and under commercial conditions, yields reach 30–50 tons per hectare. An important factor in maintaining stable productivity is crop load management, which prevents tree exhaustion, and adherence to mineral nutrition protocols.
