The Cerasa di Montenero variety is a rare autochthonous Italian variety cultivated in the vicinity of Montenero di Bisaccia. Trees of this variety are distinguished by high vigor and resistance to adverse climatic conditions, including drought and cold.
The fruits of the variety are intended exclusively for the production of extra virgin olive oil. The oil possesses a balanced, medium-intensity flavor with notes of fresh grass, hay, thyme, ginger, and sweet paprika, as well as a characteristic peppery aftertaste. The color of the product ranges from light straw to bright green.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
