Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety formed under the mountain climate of Amiata and is close in its characteristics to wild olives, showing a tendency to form thorns. The trees are characterized by slow development, however, they can reach significant sizes, beginning to fruit only 20–25 years after planting.

The main economic purpose of the plant is to ensure the pollination of the Olivastra Seggianese variety. Outside its natural growing region, the variety can behave unpredictably, showing signs of sterility.
