The tree of this variety possesses high vigor, a dense weeping crown, and is capable of reaching significant size and age. The leaves have an elliptical-lanceolate shape and are large in size. When mature, the fruits acquire an ovoid shape and a purple-red color.
The variety is early-flowering and characterized by average productivity and biennial bearing. Pollen has low germination, so it is recommended to use other varieties for pollination. The fruits are suitable for olive oil production and traditional preservation.
The plant is resistant to drought and the effects of sea breezes, and exhibits tolerance to Spilocaea oleagina (peacock spot), Pseudomonas savastanoi (olive knot), and Saissetia oleae. At the same time, the variety is sensitive to low temperatures and olive fruit fly infestation, and it roots well for propagation.
