The ROSINO variety is traditionally cultivated in Central Italy and is part of the local germplasm collection. Genetically, these samples often show a high degree of similarity to the Rossellino variety.
The primary purpose of the plant is to serve as a pollinator variety in mixed orchards. The variety is recognized as effective for pollinating olive varieties such as Moraiolo.
