Rosciola di Panicale is a traditional olive cultivar from the Italian region of Umbria. It is an oil-bearing cultivar with moderate tree vigor and a canopy that is upward-growing or slightly drooping under the weight of the fruit.
The cultivar is early-maturing; harvesting begins in late October. The fruits are of medium or small size (1.5–3 g) and acquire a black-purple color with a reddish hue upon ripening. Oil yield is approximately 18–20%.
The plant is self-incompatible and requires cross-pollination by such cultivars as Leccino, Moraiolo, Pendolino, and Canino. Resistance to diseases, including peacock spot, olive fruit fly, and olive knot, is assessed as low to medium, while the cultivar possesses medium to good drought tolerance.
