The variety is the result of hybridization carried out in 1950. The first fruiting of the trees was noted in 1965. Trees of this variety show good compatibility when grafted onto quince.
Fruits ripen and are consumed in the period from September to November. The main region of cultivation for the variety is Dâmbovița County in Romania.
