The flowers of the variety range in color from medium-red to deep purple-red and are gathered in racemose inflorescences. The leaves are entire, elliptical or obovate in shape, dark green in color, and covered with pubescence.
The plant prefers humic, slightly acidic soils with a pH level from 4.5 to 6.5. Optimal conditions for cultivation are areas with sunny exposure or partial shade.
