The variety was obtained as a result of crossing Rhododendron «Hellikki» and Rhododendron «Rasputin». The shrub has a dense, upright, hemispherical crown and reaches a height of 1.8–2.0 m after 10 years of cultivation. Leaves are dark green, matte, leathery, oblong in shape, up to 12 cm long, and slightly recurved.

Flowers are intense violet in color with a brown spot on the upper petal, gathered in large spherical inflorescences of 20 pieces. Abundant flowering occurs in the second half of May. The variety is suitable for solitary and group plantings and tolerates pruning well for up to a month after flowering ends.
