The variety is a selection, presumably originating from R. fortunei subsp. discolor. The inflorescences are highly convex, reaching 16 cm in diameter and consisting of 11 flowers with a diameter of about 7 cm each.
Flowering begins in the second half of May. The variety forms buds annually and blooms abundantly. The plant is capable of growing in partial shade, in the sun, and in shade, while in the conditions of the Moscow region it can overwinter without additional cover in areas protected from the wind.
