Sheegene-20
ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine
TIMOTHY SHEEHAN
10 August 2026
The variety is a hybrid of Pinot noir and Pirovano 1 (Chasselas rose × Muscat Hamburg). The vines are moderately vigorous with moderate side-shoot formation. Leaves are medium-small, five-lobed, and deeply dissected. Clusters are medium-sized, medium-dense; berries are pink in color, oval, with firm skin.
The variety is consistently high-yielding and resistant to grey mold. It belongs to the category of varieties for white wines. Cultivation requires monitoring of harvest timing, as with a rapid decrease in acidity, the berries can lose freshness, and muscat tones begin to dominate the aroma of the drink.
