The variety is a wine grape used for the production of red and rosé wines. The vine has medium vigor. The berries are medium to large in size, oval in shape, red-black in color, and have a sufficiently thick skin.

This is a late-flowering and late-ripening variety, well-adapted to warm southern regions. It prefers dry stony, especially granitic, soils and possesses good disease resistance.

Wines from this variety are characterized by a light ruby color, moderate tannins, and balanced acidity. The aromatic profile includes notes of red fruits, violet, and herbaceous and spicy undertones. The variety is prone to high sugar accumulation and is often used in blends.
