Malvasia di Candia aromatica is an Italian variety with a medium ripening period. The plant has bisexual flowers and medium vigor. Bunches are conical and of medium density; berries are medium-sized, round, golden-yellow with thick skin and a heavy bloom. The variety has medium resistance to powdery mildew and grey mold, but is susceptible to downy mildew and frost; it is used for the production of white wines with a muscat aroma.

Malvasia aromatica di Parma is a natural hybrid of the Muscat blanc variety and a cross of Nebbiolo and Bottagera. This variety is characterized by an early ripening period, a functionally female flower type, and susceptibility to fungal diseases and frost. Bunches are cylindrical-conical; berries are medium-sized, yellowish-pink or amber in color. It is classified as a wine grape variety used for the production of sparkling and sweet wines with a fruity aroma.
