Variety description

The vine is vigorous with hermaphroditic flowers. Leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed, wedge-shaped, smooth on the upper side and with arachnoid pubescence on the underside. Clusters are large, conical, winged, and dense. Berries are medium-sized, dark blue with a thick waxy bloom, featuring thick skin and juicy pulp.

A mid-season ripening variety, well adapted to hot, arid climates and rocky soils. Prone to uneven berry ripening and susceptible to downy mildew, powdery mildew, Botrytis, and grey mold. The wines are characterized by deep color, pronounced tannins, and aromas of overripe fruit, spices, and leather.
