The variety belongs to the Mediterranean Malvasia group. The vine has high vegetative vigor, and the berries are small, elongated, and thin-skinned. Due to the physical properties of the fruit, the variety requires specific training and trellising to prevent grey mold in high-humidity conditions.
Harvesting occurs late, often in several stages. The grapes are characterized by a natural accumulation of high sugar levels and acidity, which allows them to be used for producing dry, sparkling, and sweet dessert wines with pronounced aromatic notes of chamomile, almond, rosemary, and fennel.
