Variety description

The variety was obtained through a complex interspecific crossing of the varieties Rakish and Merlan. Genetically, it combines traits of the species Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris, and Vitis vinifera. Shoots are characterized by medium vigor, and full berry maturity occurs in mid-to-late October.

Leaves are rounded, slightly dissected, five-lobed, without pubescence. Clusters are small or medium, dense. Berries are small or medium, rounded, yellow-pink in color. The yield of the variety is consistently high.

Wines from Malverina have a straw-yellow color and are characterized by full-bodiedness and harmony. The aroma contains spicy notes, including hints of cinnamon, honey, vanilla, or licorice. The variety is often used in blending.
