The variety is the result of Pál Kozma's breeding work. The plant is a high-yielding variety with moderate resistance to fungal diseases, including downy mildew.

The grapes are used primarily in winemaking for the production of white wines possessing a pronounced muscat aroma and fresh acidity. It is grown mainly in Hungarian regions and is often used in blends.
