Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is considered one of the oldest in the world, likely originating from Egypt or the Eastern Mediterranean basin. The vine is heat-loving, requires a large amount of sunlight, and prefers stony, well-warmed soils. The variety belongs to the late-maturing group, requiring a long growing season.

The plant is not resistant to fungal diseases and is sensitive to high humidity, which triggers berry rot. Yield is potentially high but unstable. Clusters are branched, conical in shape. Berries are medium to large in size, oval, greenish-yellow in color, possessing a thick skin and juicy, very sweet pulp with an intense Muscat aroma.
