The variety belongs to the Muscat family and has an early or mid-season maturity group. The berries are white, round, medium to large in size, with a thick yellow-green skin. The bunches are medium-sized, conical or cylindrical in shape, and often winged and compact. The leaves are round or three-lobed, and medium or small in size.
The grape is sensitive to climatic conditions, but has moderate resistance to pests. The main cultivation areas are concentrated in the Apulia region; the variety is also used in winemaking in Tuscany. The resulting wines are characterized by a straw-yellow color, moderate acidity, and pronounced floral and fruity aromas.
