Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the ecological-geographical group of oriental table varieties. It originated from the natural cross-breeding of Muscat à petits grains blancs and Heptakilo. The variety is multipurpose and is used both for fresh consumption and for the production of raisins and various types of wine.

Vines are vigorous. Clusters are medium to large in size, conical in shape, and often branched. Berries are medium to large, oval, yellow-green in color with a brown tan upon ripening. The flesh is fleshy-juicy, crisp, with a high sugar content and a pronounced muscat aroma. The skin is thick and firm.

The variety is late-ripening, thermophilic, light-demanding, and heat-tolerant; it possesses drought tolerance but is sensitive to cold during the flowering period. It is characterized by high susceptibility to fungal diseases, including powdery mildew and gray mold. It has the synonyms Zibibbo, Moscatel de Malaga, and Paradisia.
