Negro Amaro Cannellino, also known as Negroamaro Precoce, is a biotype or somatic mutation of the Negroamaro grape variety. Externally, it is similar to the main variety: it possesses medium conical compact bunches and large berries with thick black skin.

The main agronomic feature of the biotype is precocity, allowing for harvest 15–20 days earlier than the standard date. The variety is intended for winemaking and is used for the production of intensely colored tannic wines, adapted to the climatic conditions of the Salento region in Italy.
