The variety belongs to the mid-season or mid-late maturity group. The plant possesses drought tolerance, however, it exhibits sensitivity to fungal diseases. Wines produced from this grape are distinguished by freshness, moderate acidity, and floral-fruity notes.

The variety is widely known under a multitude of synonyms, including Blajka, Blatinka, and Cetinjka. The main cultivation areas are concentrated in Croatia, predominantly on the Adriatic islands and the Pelješac peninsula. In a number of publications, the variety is classified as endangered.
