Pošip Crni is a rare autochthonous variety traditionally associated with the island of Korčula. The variety is at risk of extinction, with a total planted area of approximately 1.52 ha.
The berries have an elongated shape and red skin color. The variety possesses high yield with a sugar and acidity level in the juice that is average or above average.
The grapes belong to wine varieties suitable for the production of rosé wines and fresh consumption. The flavor and aroma profile of the wines ranges from fruit and floral tones to notes of honey, dried fruits, and spices.
