The Kraljevina variety, known by the synonym Roter Portugieser, is an autochthon of the Prigorje region in Croatia. It is a vigorous plant with high shoot growth energy, belonging to the late-ripening group.
The crop is susceptible to grey mold (Botrytis cinerea). The variety's production is characterized by a neutral aroma, high acidity, and low alcohol content; its potential for the production of wine distillates is also being studied.
