The variety is an autochthon of the island of Korčula, discovered in 1864. The plant belongs to early maturity groups. The leaves are medium-sized, five-lobed, and slightly incised. The clusters are medium-sized, loose, and sometimes winged. The berries have an oval shape and light green or amber-green skin color.

The variety possesses consistently high yields. It is sensitive to drought and strong winds, and displays susceptibility to powdery mildew and downy mildew. Historically, it demonstrated some resistance to phylloxera when grown on sandy soils.

The grapes are used for creating high-quality white and dessert wines. The drinks are characterized by a balanced sugar and acidity content, and their aroma contains notes of apricot, peach, citrus, melon, almond, and Mediterranean herbs.
