The Rolle B variety, officially classified as Vermentino B, belongs to the species Vitis vinifera. The bunches and berries are of medium size; the berries are characterized by a round shape and a dense, thick skin, which may take on a pinkish hue when overripe.
The plant is vigorous and belongs to the late ripening period. The variety prefers a hot, dry climate, is sensitive to strong winds, and is susceptible to powdery mildew. It is used for the production of high-quality white wines with aromas of citrus, pear, apple, flowers, fennel, and almond.
