An ancient Central European variety which, through natural crossing with Pinot Noir, gave rise to the Chardonnay variety. It is classified as a wine grape variety intended for the production of table wines.

The vines have medium vigor and high yield, which requires regulation to improve berry quality. The variety is of mid-season maturity, ripening in the first half of September, and prefers well-ventilated sites.

It is characterized by moderate susceptibility to major fungal diseases such as downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray mold. To achieve optimal results, mixed pruning with the retention of a long fruit cane is recommended.
