Variety description

10 August 2026

The name Števerjana has been used historically in Slovenia, particularly in the Goriška Brda region, and derives from the name of the settlement of Števerjan in Italy. Microsatellite marker analysis has shown that samples called Števerjana are genetically identical to the Glera variety.

Separate descriptions of morphological traits or unique characteristics for Števerjana do not exist, as all indicators correspond to the Glera variety. This grape is used in winemaking.
