The Sideritis variety is indigenous to the northwestern part of the Peloponnese. The plant possesses high growth vigor and forms large clusters with large pink berries. Due to high bud fertility, the variety requires strict load control during pruning.

The variety belongs to very late maturity groups; harvesting in Greece can take place until mid-November. Berries may ripen unevenly, which sometimes requires harvesting in two passes. The variety is sensitive to major grapevine diseases.

It is used for the production of wines characterized by high acidity, minerality, moderate alcohol content, and floral-citrus notes, as well as being used as a table grape.
