The variety is the result of crossing Madeleine Angevine and Gewürztraminer, although there are hypotheses about its origin through open pollination of Madeleine Angevine. The bush is medium-sized, the flower is hermaphroditic. The leaf is round, wrinkled, with dense felt-like pubescence on the underside. The clusters are medium-sized, dense, the berries are round or slightly oval, pink in color.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness (down to -22...-24°C) and late bud break, which reduces the risk of damage by spring frosts. Resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew is at the level of European varieties; due to the density of the cluster, it is susceptible to grey mold, and the intense aroma of the berries attracts wasps and birds.
Wine variety suitable for the production of dry and late-harvest dessert wines. The products are distinguished by high sugar accumulation with low acidity and a bright aroma with notes of muscat, lychee, grapefruit, and spices.
