Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is autochthonous to the Italian regions of Marche, Lazio, and Abruzzo. The tree is characterized by stable fruiting, while requiring the presence of other olive varieties for effective pollination, as it is allogamous.

The fruits are small, weighing from 1.5 to 2 grams, have a rounded shape, and acquire a dark purple or black-purple color as they ripen.

The variety is grown mainly for oil production with a high yield of 21% to 25%. The resulting product is characterized by notes of artichoke, fresh almond, and grass, medium intensity of bitterness and pungency, and a high content of antioxidants.
