The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and a spreading crown shape with short, elliptical leaves. The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinators for fruit set. Harvesting usually begins in early November.
The fruits have an average weight, an asymmetric ovoid shape, and turn black upon ripening. The oil yield is 18–22%. The variety is vulnerable to low temperatures and olive fruit fly infestation.
