The olive variety Castula was developed within breeding programs for crop improvement. The main characteristic of the variety is high resistance to the fungal disease Verticillium dahliae, which allows it to be used to combat this pathogen in olive orchards.
During scientific research, the variety was studied for its physiological responses to drought. Analysis of gas exchange indicators and chlorophyll fluorescence demonstrates the presence of significant differences in the behavior of this variety compared to other representatives of the crop under conditions of moisture deficit.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
