Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and a medium-density crown with weeping branches. The leaves are elongated-elliptic in shape with medium dimensions. The variety is autochthonous to the eastern part of Sicily, growing predominantly in the area of Caltagirone.

The fruits are elliptic, slightly asymmetrical in shape without a nipple at the apex. Due to its characteristics, the variety is not intended for table use; however, the oil obtained from it is of high quality and is in demand for Sicilian blends.
