The variety is used for wine production. Currently, it is primarily preserved in collection and gene banks, for example, at experimental plots in Baštica, Croatia.
Historical data indicate that in terms of its production and economic characteristics, the variety is close to the Babić variety. It is an independent genetic material that is being studied as part of projects for the conservation of autochthonous varieties.
