The variety is a selected form of the traditional Romanian grape Băbească neagră (Rară neagră). It is a wine grape variety used for the production of red wines, which are characterized by lightness, fruit notes, and balanced acidity.
The clone is characterized by high yield, reaching 21 tons per hectare, which significantly exceeds the indicators of the original variety. The variety requires the selection of rootstocks to control vigor, which can be excessive.
