The variety was discovered in the wild at the foot of the Roca-Forcada mountains in the Ripollès region. The plants have a horizontal growth habit. The variety is late-ripening with a long growing season; harvest typically takes place from the end of September to the beginning of October.

The variety demonstrates good resistance to drought and high temperatures. An important characteristic is the ability to maintain pronounced acidity even with late ripening. The berries are small.

It is classified as a wine grape variety. Wines made from it possess high acidity, aging potential, and are characterized by a distinct Mediterranean profile with notes of citrus, stone fruits, herbaceous undertones, and minerality.
